Is Aloma Cinema Grille in Winter Park Worth It? (2025)
Most would agree there’s nothing better than a dark, cool theatre on a summer afternoon in Orlando. Except, maybe one with chicken wings. Enter the Aloma Cinema Grille, a cheap and tasty way to spend an afternoon out of the rain and 300% humidity.
If you haven’t made it over to this beloved Winter Park gem, there’s never been a better time. In addition to its very much apprec anticipated food “glow-up”, it’s a cozy time capsule that over time still continues to bring value to both the community and your wallet.

It’s Got Food, and it’s Good Food
I’ll tell you straight up, if they have them available, grab the bone-in chicken wings. They are surprisingly (for a movie theatre) as tasty as any local pub, and this was before Dexter’s chef updated the menu.

🍕 – 2nd on my list is their pub style pizza, served high on a platter, excellent for sharing. My picky pizza eating family all enjoys their pie.

Aloma Cinema Grille Glow Up in 2025
Recently, Aloma Cinema Grille’s menu has received a couple new additions in both the drink and food department. It has begun offering a lunch special menu, as well as a enticing grouping of craft cocktail recipes in addition to its standard beer, wine and classic menu.
On track for it’s grand opening June 28th, the Dinner Theatre concept has teamed up with the Original Dexter’s Executive Chef Adrian, to create the “Green Room Bar and Grill”.
The theater rooms with dining will stay operating as normal – but being added is a full bar and al fresco dining, live music, and a space for events.
Kid + Family Friendly
No Babysitter Needed! Pack a few of your fidgety kiddo’s toys and tuck them into one of the larger “wall-couch” styles booths towards the back or the walls, and order up some fries and popcorn for the group.
Just an FYI, they serve Pepsi products, so kid friendly options are limited to lemonade, water, and soda of course should you choose.
Each booth or set of chairs at Aloma Cinema Grill has an appropriately sized table, that I can confirm personally is a huge hit with the little ones.
As a bonus, Aloma Cinema Grille’s sound system is not as loud as your typical theatre surround sound, which is great news for a parent. We often struggle to get our kid to go to Winter Park Village or similar because the decibel levels are simply too high for them.
Aloma Cinema Grille is a Win-Win for the Kiddos:
✅ Cheap
✅ Open and Non-Restrictive Seating
✅ Great for Little Ears: Not as Loud as Standard Theatres

Date Night Material
With that naugahyde chic vibe, snuggle up with your sweetie over a large popcorn in one of the large bench seats available. But, be prepared, seating is limited, is first come, first serve. It doesn’t happen often, but we’ve had members of our party who came right before a show started, bumped to a later showing due to them being at capacity.
As a very exciting development, the original chef of Dexter’s Winter Park has created a whole new gastro experience, of which I am very excited to see become a reality June 28th. He’s even brought along his signature marketing style. 😉

Friend Meet Ups
Don’t sleep on this as awesome and simple way to meet up with your favorite people. With the opening of The Green Room Cafe on June 28th, you will have the option of grabbing a scheduled show and meal, or just meeting up for a craft cocktail or two with your besties.
It’s Dark and Cold!
Did we mention it’s Summer, in Central Florida? Also, it’s probably raining, has rained, or will rain today. So yes, crispy cool AC just makes everything better.

Stay cool out there, y’all.
